atlast, moving ends!!

Maaaan....is moving a whole apartment by yourself a major pain in your "derriere"!!! I know I had mentioned earlier about moving to a new place but today evening marks the official grand finale of moving!! This is result of putting few belongings at different people's places!! Today I was able to collect all my stuff from various locations and literally dump it all at my new pad!!! I wish I could actually take a pic of all the junk I see before me right now!!! Wallahi Tallahi....100 bucks a month savings ain't cheap or easy!!! Again, all the credit to my friend's car!! The little devil inside me is jumping with joy for his car is not yet sold and i was able to take advantage of the situation (i'm a bad, bad, baaaaaddddd friend.....tse tse tse)!! While the angel in me truly thanks my friend for not minding at all!! I must say there is a whole lot of goodness still present in this self-centered world!!!

Well, now that the moving phase is over, starts a painfully lazy task of arranging my pad!!! I have tried to keep my stuff from not coming in way of my roommates' activities for as much occupied as they seem by not dumping the trash and excess furniture since the last time I came to my pad for cleaning (i guess the angel in part of me is getting drunk/sleepy for actually thinking about my roomates' well-being)!!! The major part of my stuff includes books and papers spanning the last four years of study in US!! That reminds me of my next little home project of selling the-borrowed-and-not-yet-returned textbooks for decent sum of money to cover atleast my next month's rent; as well as digitize the past coursework for it all to be burnt on CD/DVD media!!! All this will take place simultaneously while arranging my pad!!! Gosh, now i'm cursing myself for I see already half of my stuff could be donated to salvation army or the boys and girls club of Kansas City!!!

Khai (hausa)...I must find time and plenty of it after getting back from work!! Can't afford to waste time just doing "tp" (short for time pass) with friends or over the phone!!!

About work, I must say to myself, I got it big at the kneck of time for I was seriously contemplating the option to join a consultancy firm anywhere in US!!! Thank God sha...for this RAship to fall in my basket!! The place is great and co-workers fantabulous!!! Anticipating increase of work hours as approved by the Director of the Institute (part of School of Medicine) but not yet by the institute's budget committee!! A little more dough could do wonders towards my existing monetary debt!!! Hence, Prayers are in full swing and work even more precisely to not leave any room for error!!! AMEN!!!

N e ways, it was good to briefly catch up with Surya after ages!! He is in Adana, Turkey for his summer traineeship before joining Carnegie Mellon for Masters in august!! I must make a concious effort to stay in touch with my fellow ILSians and friends around the world!! I'm completely to blame for isolating myself from my friends for the last one year has been truly nerve-wrecking on the family front!! No regrets at all....for it has been a truly soul searching and conscious altering experience of my life!!! This is when we actually get to see the real nakedness of all our relationships, period. What an honour to be part of such a remarkable family of mine, a few family friends, and some total strangers for lending a moral and mental helping hand!!! They shall always be with me in my Prayers and thoughts!!!!! What can I say, there is Good in this world and it makes you see and realize it amidst the dark days!!! The lesson learnt: NEVER LOSE FAITH IN THE GOOD NO MATTER HOW WORST THE SITUATION and KEEP GOING ON!!!! (Repeat)
